Coal Black and De Sebbe Dwaves

They call it "The Greatest Cartoon You've Never Seen." It's been banned. You can't buy it in stores. It's only on a few esoteric websites scattered across Cyberspace. It's racist. It's unbelievably racist - by today's standards, at least.
But it's also funny as hell.
I read an article about this cartoon, created by Warner Brothers' Bob Clampett back in 1943. Best thing about it? Clampett took his animation team to Los Angeles' Club Alabam, where they soaked up lots of, ummm, "atmosphere." Actually, they all got high from all the pot in the air and, as a direct result, totally reinvigorated graphic design at Warner Animation.
Louis Armstrong was originally part of the music score, but he got replaced when he had to go on tour. Dorothy Dandridge's mother, Ruby, was the voice of the evil queen, while Vivian, Ruby's other daughter, was the voice behind Coal Black.
The cartoon was part of a group of cartoons that have never seen the light of day, called the "Censored 11." You can find a list of the others by clicking here and watch them all on youtube.com by clicking here.

Here's Coal Black for your viewing pleasure ... Followed by Goldilocks and the Jiving Bears, cause the music is too good to miss.
