Board Wild
On the first day, it rained. But that didn’t stop us….
Greg and I hit the waves for a little boarding last Monday, the first day of his 60-hour trip to the Okanagan. It was wet and not so warm, but it was still fun nonetheless. Monday night was fun too – a little too much fun – and we paid for it the next day, rising at 3 p.m. All I can say is: “Thank god for Advil.”
So Tuesday was pretty much a write-off, but we headed back on the lake on Wednesday, under blue skies and sunshine. We broke out the tube, the board, did a little cliff-jumping, and generally just floated around the lake. My roomie, Danielle, and her boyfriend, Mohammed, also joined us. While they can’t tube too well, they treated us to some wicked wipeouts…

First time in seven years, and second time I've ever had a board strapped on, and ... I get up easy first time. Of course, I can't do anything but look good right now.. but hey - there's always room for improvement.
Greg was introduced to something we like to call the "Okanagan Lake enema" about two seconds after this picture was taken...
A few quick pointers, and the Gregster was an expert at driving the boat. Notice the one-handed form, the other fingers in the traditional "Slayer Rules" pose. He gets points for that...
Ya. She didn't last long on the tube.

It's been a week, and I'm finally over my sore arms. I think I may need to get out on the lake a bit more so I don't feel like a 'senior boarder' next time!!!
