So Lebron is on the cover of Vogue. Controversy abounds!
People's first reaction was that it was a racist image, and equated black athletes to raging, uncontrollable beasts .
Well, it turns out, they were right .
Famed photographer Annie Liebowitz made a sly homage to an inconic image from the early 1900s.
Is it racist? Artistic? You decide...

The Guardian made mention of this in their supplement last week. They however, focused on the King Kong aspect. What I don't understand is how LeBron got talked into it... Oh, wait a minute, he's barely in his twenties and probably has a hard time remembering what an LP is so understanding a 70 year old reference might not come to mind.

I thinks this is racist and I don't know if you have seen other photo's Annie Liebowtiz has taken but they all seem questionable. Like the one on the cover of Vanity Fair with Maya Angelou and Madonna.(http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1323/533650677_3017b480d0.jpg) I personally think they should have switched positions, Angelou looks very sad, she is looking down, Madonna's got her nose in the air, with a tight grip on Maya's arm. It's all a bit questionable if you asked me.
